So this past week was Earth Day and I feel like it was a bigger event than usual this year.
In honor of Earth Day and my consistent quest for good water bottles, I went out and bought myself a Klean Kanteen.
If you haven’t seen these around, you should go out and try one. They are great! Sure, Dan calls them over sized grenades, but they keep your water really cold, are durable, and don’t leach harmful materials, plastics or toxins into your liquids.
I purchased the blue one below and think you should all go try one too!
A recent pet peeve of mine has been the entrance of the above movie into the marketplace. Do you remember this movie? The name sounds familiar… doesn’t it?
hmmm….
Oh… wait! Maybe it sounds familiar because a few years ago they released the same movie name with a”the” before “Fast” and a “the” before “Furious”! Why on earth were the movie execs unable to use some creativity and come up with something a little more original? Why is it okay to remove “the” from the title of a film and use it again? Should we create a sequel to “The Breakfast Club” and name it “Breakfast Club”?
I’m boycotting the whole movie series now. How can I expect anything good out of the plot when the title’s such a creative disappointment?
Do you have a pet peeve like this one? Fill me in on it when you have a chance.
So I’ve given up on the slideshow thing, even though the one I made rocks and you will all be missing out without it. Dan and I have been home for a few weeks now, but we had a really good time in the Bay area. We were pure tourists for a 3 day time, which was just about the max amount of time we can handle doing that sort of thing.
Some of the trip highlights included:
Watching Dan try to eat crab (he went through about 3 of those bibs)-

Dan at Scoma's
Taking a cruise around the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz-

Golden Gate Bridge

Dan and I Cruising
Hanging out at a bar while people picketed about union issues outside-

Picketers

Cheers!
Eating breakfast at this restaurant called Stacks that was really good (okay – to be honest all of the food we had in San Francisco was really good)-

Stacks
And of course, riding those cute cable cars

Dan Standing on the Cable Car

Cable Car Ride (too bad Dan has a huge shadow going down his face)
Additional good times were had when a homeless man yelled at Dan for only giving him $1 and when we got on the city bus to see Haight Ashbury and went all the way to the end of the line, only to find out that we had gotten on it going the wrong way.
Next time, we’ll probably head over to Sausalito and Napa for wine tasting and to see the red woods. But, all in all, if you’re looking to head out to a city for a few days of fun, San Francisco is a good place to consider.
so eric saw adventureland last night. he called me up after and told me that the female main character in the movie looks EXACTLY like ashley. here she is——-
So I’ve been trying to figure out a way to upload a slideshow of my trip onto WordPress but I am having no luck. I already have one made with a good song, but I can only burn it to a disk. GRRR!
Any suggestions?
